We’re Not Just a Cafe, We’re Neighbors.
Mansour’s Market Cafe has been part of the Scranton Hill Section community since the early 2000’s. What started as a boutique grocery store with ice cream and coffee, has grown into a neighborhood institution — the kind of place where regulars don’t need to order because we already know what they like.
Mansour’s was founded by local businessman, Paul Mansour, with the simple idea of having a local neighborhood grocery market, ice cream parlor, and coffee bar. Over the next decade, this idea grew into a full service breakfast and lunch restaurant. Through this transformation, the grocery market and ice cream bar we lost, while still holding tight to the coffee bar.
In 2016, Carolyn and Mike Catalano purchased the business. Carolyn had spent many years, through high school and college, working at Mansour’s and could not turn down the opportunity to take over the operation. Not only did the Catalano’s live just a few blocks away, they were raised in the neighborhood.
Today, the Catalano’s still run every part of the cafe. You’ll find Carolyn in the kitchen, behind the counter, or standing at your table serving. We are happy to be able to share this restaurant with our community, our 4 kids, and all of you. Enjoy!
